Our Story

At Wild Escapes Tasmania, our journey began with a deep love for this wild island and a simple dream — to share Tasmania’s untamed beauty with the world in a way that feels personal, authentic, and unforgettable.

We are a small, family-run travel company based in Hobart, built on the belief that exploring nature should be more than just sightseeing — it should be an experience that connects people to place, culture, and story.

With our custom-designed small group tours (no more than 10 guests), we focus on creating meaningful experiences in Southern Tasmania’s most stunning landscapes — from the raw coastlines of the Tasman Peninsula to the tranquil beauty of Bruny and Maria Islands. Every journey is carefully crafted to highlight the region’s natural wonders, local flavors, and hidden gems that larger tours often miss.

As bilingual guides (English and Mandarin), we welcome travelers from across the world, bridging cultures through storytelling, warm hospitality, and genuine care. Photography is also part of our passion — we capture moments for our guests, so they can stay present and take memories home, without worrying about the camera.

Wild Escapes Tasmania is not just about tours. It’s about connection — with the land, with the wildlife, and with each other. We believe that the magic of Tasmania lies in its wild simplicity, and our mission is to help every traveler feel that magic in their own way.

Come with us, and let the island’s wild heart speak to yours.

A great day on Bruny Island with Chaboo!

TripAdvisor review: Bruny Island Small-Group Guided Tour From Hobart

A great and insightful day on Bruny Island! Great oyster brunch, awesome sights, and a funny and insightful guide, Chaboo, who helped us get the best pictures. He even took us to a special, serene beach with spectacular views.
A visit to a kind of bakery was also cool, with great Anzac cookies. Chaboo also gave great recommendations to all the greatest restaurants and snack shops, which we can assure you were very tasty! Thanks, Chaboo!
